My Beloved taught me to fish.  One of my favorite photos is where he and I are standing together and I am holding up my first catch!

Who doesn't remember young love with all it's thrill and beauty.  My Beloved always remembered Valentine's Day.  He would bring candy and roses--with a rose for each of our daughters.

Today is my Daddy's birthday.  He has been in heaven for seven years now.  My Mom was the love of his life and they were married well over 50 years.  This postcard reminds me of their sweet and precious relationship.  Have a lovely week, sweet Friends.  Happy Postcard Friendship Friday!

It is hard to describe the emotions touching my heart this afternoon. The New Year is here and memories of moments gone by mingle with the flow of what is yet to come.  I am filled with a certain melancholy, yet somehow joyful sense of the great adventure ahead. How I long to see what's around the next corner.

Already Valentine's Day is only a little over a month away!  So here is this year's first Valentine's Day postcard!  I love vintage vintage Valentine Cards--they are sometimes fun, but can be exquisite and elegant.

It is hard to believe the New Year is only hours away.  I look back over the past year and am amazed at all that happened.  It passed by so quickly--but so slowly all at once.

I just love this postcard.  Though as a Mom I'm saying to myself, "Where is that child's coat?!"  With all the snow and what looks like ice, it seems pretty cold.  lol  But what fun they're having--Christmas is near and they've loaded their sleigh with holly.  I imagine it will be used to decorate their home.

I have a special place in my heart for the Netherlands.  I love their traditions and stories and some of my ancestors came from there.

I have to admit, when I saw this one I burst out laughing.  I couldn't help seeing the humor of it.  I was married to a wonderful man for over 30 years, so it doesn't apply to my own experience--but it did hit my funny bone.

Isn't this little fellow with the pine cone fringe cute?  I adore this unusual Christmas card.  As you can see there are windmills in the background--I wonder if this one is from Holland, inspired by a tradition I haven't heard yet?
