Celebrating Siblings -Postcard Friendship Friday #264
Here in America, it is National Sibling Day. I am glad for a time to celebrate my brothers and sisters. I am the eldest of six. I've always felt I have been blessed to be a part of a big family. There are so many wonderful memories of the things we did, the laughter, tears and love we all shared.
I was a teenager when my youngest sister was born. This postcard reminds me of our relationship so many years ago.
Thank you for dropping by, and Happy Postcard Friendship Friday!

A Happy Easter Be Yours -Postcard Friendship Friday #263
I love this card. Though I do enjoy the Easter Bunny and all the fun we have at Easter time, this angel's joy, reflecting the true meaning of Easter, is lovely to my eyes.
I can't help but imagine what it might have been like to have seen first-hand the death of the Him Who loves us. What terrible sorrow. Can you imagine their amazement to receive word that He had risen. But to see Him standing there, alive and full of glory--with one's own eyes. WOW!
They got up and returned at once to Jerusalem.
There they found the Eleven and those with them,
assembled together and saying, “It is true!
The Lord has risen and has appeared to Simon.”
Then the two told what had happened on the way,
and how Jesus was recognized by them when he broke the bread.
While they were still talking about this,
Jesus himself stood among them and said to them,
“Peace be with you.”
~Luke 24:33-36

Pink Flowers for Easter -Postcard Friendship Friday #262
So sorry I was late putting PFF up today. I had to drive over to my darling Mumsie's house to help her with putting together stuff for her tax lady.
No, this postcard isn't exactly for Easter--in fact, as I looked at it--it is the letter "A" for amazing, or astonishing. All of those words are appropriate when I read the Easter story as told in the Bible.
This postcard was so pretty I decided to put it up even if it isn't truly Easter-related.
Thank you for dropping by, and Happy Postcard Friendship Friday!

Bunnies and a Purple Egg
There is something about this darling cut out card, that intrigues me. I love the flowers and that purple egg. The bunnies are dear and sweet. This Easter card makes me smile. I really would love to see an egg that big--perhaps it is a dinosaur egg? One could dream of such a thing.
Have a great rest of the week!

Easter Greetings!
I love this little card. Such a gentle little angel, playing her music amidst the Easter Lilies. The blue of the forget me not flowers filtering down to the clouds, gives the idea of blue skies and hope. Easter is all about hope.
Blessings to you all, dear Friends.

Irish Storyteller -Postcard Friendship Friday #261
My Father loved the Irish and was proud of his own Irish heritage. He was a natural born storyteller, as is my precious Mumsie. I remember warm feelings from the days when my siblings and I were small and we would gather around to listen to Daddy spin a tail. Those are endearing, precious memories which spread comfort through the soul.
Coming from a family of storytellers, I married one. To his last day, my Beloved lived and breathed drama and storytelling. I adored his stories. I didn't realize how much I've missed them until a few weeks ago, when after a rehearsal, a group of us sat around for a little over three hours, laughing and telling stories. I haven't laughed that hard for a very long time.
We must never forget the importance of stories. Tell a story today--you never know how precious that story time will be to someone later on.

Erin Go Bragh! -Postcard Friendship Friday #260

What I still don't understand, is why the pig is in the postcard. There are lots of St. Patrick's Day artwork with pigs. Is this an Irish custom I haven't heard about yet? I would love to know what the story is!
Have a lovely weekend, dear Friends--and Happy Postcard Friendship Friday.

A Wee Leprechaun -Postcard Friendship Friday #259

What a funny little fellow--He's exactly as I think a wee Leprechaun might look. One hears stories about the frolicksome ways of the Irish. I love the Irish and am proud to claim my ancestry. Aye, someday I shall visit Ireland and see it all for meself.
This postcard is one I bought for my collection in the late 1970's. It was printed in the USA, and was a reproduction of a postcard printed in the early 1900's.

Dressing Up -Postcard Friendship Friday #258

This wonderful old postcard reminds me so much of my sister Clytie and I when we were young. We did indeed dress the puppies in doll clothes, though I don't know if we ever actually were successful in any attempt to dress up a kitty cat!!
The little ones in our lives bring so much charm and joy. I am so grateful for the joy of the children.
