A Peaceful Easter -Postcard Friendship Friday #452

Easter postcards are among the most lovely--this one is especially beautiful.  Here is the enchanting little angel, ringing in Easter upon a silver bell, with a pile of colorful Easter eggs at her side.

I wonder what animals are listening in that idyllic forest with its mysterious beauty.  The look on the angel's face is one of expectant joy.  Happy Easter all you wonderful people!

And happy Postcard Friendship Friday!

A Joyful Easter

I am often inspired by these wonderful postcards from the past.  They just don't make them like this anymore!  This one is especially beautiful, with it's pussy willow border, blue forgetmenots and pink ribboned eggs.  The whole picture is graceful and lovely.

A joyful Easter to you all.

Welcome Easter Morning -Postcard Friendship Friday #400

It is hard to believe how quickly time is passing.  In just a few weeks, Easter will be upon us.  I love Spring, and it seems to have arrived here in the Willamette Valley...still, it is chilly.  I saw the daffodils hiding their faces from the sleet earlier today.

I adore drawings of flowers with faces...these dear faces are SO sweet and adorable, don't you think?

Happy Easter, dear Friends.  And Happy Postcard Friendship Friday!

Easter Greetings -Postcard Friendship Friday #305

I posted this one years ago--I still find it to be quite strange!  That little girl doesn't seem to be too happy with the giant chick pulling at her pinafore.  I fact, it looks like she's asking for help! Such an odd Easter greeting.  I wonder what the artist was thinking.

I hope you have a lovely week--full of sunshine and Easter promise.  Blessings and hope to all of you dear ones.

A Joyous Easter Greeting to you and Happy Postcard Friendship Friday!

All Joy to You This Easter

This wonderful old postcard has some fascinating elements to it. I wonder what the story might be behind these beautiful costumes, the children and lovely young ladies! Care to take a wild guess?

Above is the back of this most intriguing postcard. I could not make out what was written here. Perhaps someone else out there is a little better at deciphering than I am.

Have a joyous Thursday!

Easter Gladness

There is something so precious about baby chick--never mind that they will quickly become chickens. But even adult chickens can be cute and rather interesting.

There is new life all around. Spring has truly sprung with its flowers, babies and a sense of great hope.
