Masked Bandit in the Tree

Here is another of Grammie Jenny's cards. I was thinking of my friend Abe Lincoln, who isn't feeling so good this morning. Abe enjoyed a unique, precious friendship with a raccoon Mama
who came to live in his yard with her kits.

This one's for you, Abe. I sure hope you will be feeling better soon.

that is just so adorable...funny how the image of a raccoon is so familiar to me even though i've never seen one! i guess the nearest thing we have in italy is the "faina" or beech marten

Good morning Beth,
We have many of these masked bandits that roam our property. The babies are like monkeys in the trees, but oh so very cute to watch! The mothers have quite the litter ... usually four to five babes ... the pots on the deck are much fun and amusement for them. Seems life is a one big party for these little guys!

I think of Abe when I see raccoons around as well. We had one a couple of months ago - he slept in the tree for a while, then moved on.

This one looks like a youngster, doesn't he?
