After the Storm

 

This is a postcard featuring the Scotch Collie.  This wonderful dog is a favorite of the Scottish shepherd. When the moorlands are covered with deep snow, the brave collie is sent out to discover buried sheep and their lambs.  When the dog finds them, he barks to alert the shepherd and his assistants.

God bless those who are, or who soon will be digging out of the monster snow storm in the Eastern United States.

Happy Pups

I received this card from a friend sometime in the 1970's.  You can tell the time period by the coloring of the photo.  I love the way these cute puppie's eyes sparkle.  The way they lean into one another, they seem the best of friends.  I bet these two got into a LOT of mischief!

When I was a child I wanted a collie just like Lassie.  Collies are such beautiful dogs.  I'm glad I kept this card in my box of keepsakes.
