I Have a Dream -Postcard Friendship Friday #440

I was ten years old when Martin Luther King was assassinated.  Even at that tender young age, this great man captivated my imagination.

I loved him.  His dream became mine, too. I have always been captivated by his inspiring words.  Especially these:  "I have a dream... ...that little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers."

Growing up, my parents taught us a great truth--that people are people no matter what color their skin is...that God made human beings like flowers, in all shapes, colors and sizes--and they are all beautiful.

Blessings and peace to all peoples and Happy Postcard Friendship Friday.

I love Martin Luther King Jr., his words and actions were beautiful. He was a great Christian leader and a brave man, and he inspired me to volunteer in the civil rights movement.
