Our Fathers - Postcard Friendship Friday #68

NOTE:  You don't have to stick to the theme I chose each Friday.  Just put up the postcards you love and tell us why you like them!  Have fun everyone!

There were six of us in all--I'm sure there were moments when Daddy wondered about having so many! This postcard brought to mind all the hours Dad must have held crying babies over the years.  I still love being a part of a big family.

When I think of Dad, my heart is happy.  What a dear Father he is--He is my hero.

I remember his strong arms--As a little girl, I always felt so safe with my Daddy.  Now he is old.  His strength is fading.  Those dear eyes don't see as well.  How precious he is to me.  His unconditional love, kindness, fairness and strength have colored my life with beauty.  As an adult, looking around our world, I have realized how blessed my siblings and I are, to have this strong, gentle man as our Father.

Now in his twilight years, I find myself treasuring every moment I spend with Dad.  Dear beloved Daddy.  Happy Father's Day!

So happy to be joining again!

Wow! This is so timely. My entry is not about dads but I think it will do. ^_^

GREAT post. You've talked of your father before. This is a great post, and those of us who are fathers - well, we get the pleasure of the attention our children give us.

I'm not going to post this week, but I'll follow along regardless. I always look forward to PFF, even if I don't play.

Well I would think patience would be high on that list of attributes, with 6 cute but crying bundles.

My father never wanted us to make a special fuss of Fathers' Day. I just wish he were still around so that I could irritate him by doing just that. :)

Awww, definitely a nice postcard. My father passed away 8 years ago and I wonder if he's looking after me. If only I could dance with my father again...

My PFF Entry is up. Thanks for hosting this meme.

Great postcard. Father's day is a lesser event here in the UK than the US (although I am still expecting some goodies on Sunday). Subsequently I don't have any themed postcards to share but have come across something which appealed to me. Happy PFF everyone.

Great postcard. I am an only child; it must be nice to have lots of siblings.

This is quite a moving tribute to your father, Beth, and I bet he knows it without ever reading this.

Carpe Diem!

Lovely post. The card reminds me of the supposed uncle in A series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket.

I have a new contest on my blog today.

Indeed, my father is also my hero. He is the one in man in my life that I have forever worshiped ... I have loved him with all of my heart. Growing up, the last thing I ever wanted to do was disappoint him. He has always been there for me, through thick and thin. The world is a better place because of him! :))) Cheers!! to all the wonderful fathers on this Father's Day!
