I thought it was time to share another Valentine card from my collection. This sweet card was printed in the USA most likely just after World War 2. The paper is very thin and fragile. I adore the bright colors and intricate design of this unusual card. The little boy in those short pants is so cute!
Inside is this pen and ink of a small girl gathering roses. It is like something I would draw, and the poem is delightful!
I love gardening and so this card is specially cute to me. The little boy's outfit is adorable.
This card reminds me of a vintage hankie ... the ones my grandma used to tuck in her apron or under her sleeves ... so charming!
Have a wonderful day, Beth!
So cute! I love all the colors and hearts.
Beth this is so sweet and lovely. I just love the older cards. Both the children are adorable, I like his rosy chubby checks. Thank you for sharing.
Oh sissie! If I didn't know better, I would think you DID draw that little girl! It is so totally your style!
Just so pretty. I wish I had saved some of mine. I have a drawer full of recent ones.
Your Valentine's are wonderful Beth! I have posted my PFF already. I'll be back to sign in... :)
Especially love the sweet message...
Awww, this little boy is absolutely charming! SO cute in his shorts and heart buttons!
What a great card: love the scalloped edges and the colorful border around the little boy on the cover. A thoughtful and subtle sentiment inside with that lovely pen and ink of the girl...a cut above the usual, I'd say.
