Thanksgiving will be held at my sister's home this year!  No cleaning for me, but plenty of cooking.  I'll be doing the turkey, gravy, carrots, pumpkin pie, berry pie and apple pie.  And Mumsie is staying with me for a WEEK!

I apologize for getting this up late.  I am in the grips of the dreaded flu bug they've been talking about on the news.  It seems to hit everyone differently.  For me it is a fever and the ensuing aches and pains, along with a sore throat.  I am on the upside, having been ill for about a week.

Hello, sweet Friends.  I apologize for being late this week, but it is still a chore to sit for very long in front of the computer and I am just now getting caught up on a lot of things.

I had hip replacement surgery a month ago, and have been steadily regaining my health.  I have graduated from using a walker, to a cane, and I am actually able to drive now.

It has been less than two months since I first discovered the need for surgery.  These past few months have testimony of the miracles of God's loving provision and care.

Thank you, those of you who prayed for me.  I am still in awe of His perfect timing. I am SO grateful to God for you.  May our Mighty Creator bless you, dear ones.  Happy Postcard Friendship Friday!

Best Wishes Under Lamp Light

I love this card.  It came from my sweet Grammie.  It reminds me of her--delicate, sweet and a light in my life.  I am not sure where or when this card was printed, but it's elegant length, beautifully crafted flowers and detailed lamp are pure beauty to the eye.
