A Thrilling Halloween -Postcard Friendship Friday #427

I have such wonderful memories of Halloween from when I was a child.  There was a great fir tree which grew at the edge of the woods behind our home.  My siblings and I played underneath it so often the ground became hard and smooth.  It was like an outdoor playhouse.  We would sweep the "floors" and eat our lunches out there,  We played games and built forts in its branches...it was a wonderful place, full of mystery and imagination.

Halloween was when we would make ghosties to hang on the branches of the trees, along with other scary decorations.  The funny thing was, when it was time to go out in the darkness--we were too scared by our own stories to do so!

And that postcard?  I think if I saw a pumpkin looking in the door, I would be a tad bit frightened too!

Have a lovely weekend and Happy Postcard Friendship Friday!
