He is Risen -Postcard Friendship Friday #306

My husband Alan was a preacher.  He loved God with all his heart.  He often would talk about the Lord, His sacrifice for each of us, and how He rose from the grave and lives today.  Alan would say with that grin of his, "Beth, He's done it before, He can do it again."

That sweet memory gives me hope.  My Beloved is in heaven now.  I know I will see Alan again someday.  Because God always keeps His Promises.  He is faithful and never changes. "He's done it before, He will do it again!" I am so grateful that He loves me--and you, too.

I posted this one years ago--I still find it to be quite strange!  That little girl doesn't seem to be too happy with the giant chick pulling at her pinafore.  I fact, it looks like she's asking for help! Such an odd Easter greeting.  I wonder what the artist was thinking.

I apologize for getting this out late again.  I have had a difficult weekend.  The loss of my darling--the love of my life, sometimes hits me with a crash--and I am bereft.  Forgive me, please for the lateness of this post. I will do better as time goes on. 

I looked high and low to find out who Bunny Swift might be and came up empty-handed.  I fell in love with this unusual postcard as soon as I saw it.  I like the idea that little sprites bring joyous Easter greetings via Bunny express.

Dancing on the Green -Postcard Friendship Friday #303

Isn't she lovely?  I hear Irish music and I cannot keep my feet from dancing.  When I was a little girl I would dance for hours, with all the exuberance of the young--a foot fancy step.  To this day I can still do it--It turns out the dance I have always done, is a traditional Irish Dance.
