I apologize for the lateness of this post. We had a chimney fire some time back. Repairs are finally underway. The chimney is gone now and the noise of the work they've been doing is deafening! I don't mind--it is the sound of progress. I hope you will still join us today--even though I'm a bit late in posting.
It has been so warm in our part of the world, the roses are still in full bloom. This lovely Lady Rose seemed a perfect tribute to today's beautiful sunshine and balmy temperatures.
The past five years or so, the rain started mid-September and didn't stop until late Spring. Grandpa used to call bright and warm October weather an "Indian Summer." I loved his quaint phrases--things such as calling an ice storm, a "silver thaw."

I'm sorry, but that card is a little creepy looking. (I would still probably buy it, though!)
