Little Daisy Girl -Postcard Friendship Friday

My gracious and generous friend Paula, from Pearl's World, saw an earlier post of one of my favorite postcards, and sent several postcards of this same lovely young lady. Thank you, Paula! The little girl was French, and was featured in many postcards from the early 1900's.

If anyone out there has information on the history of this little girl, I would love to hear from you. There's something so poignant and sweet about her face. I wonder who she was.

Happy Postcard Friendship Friday!

“To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not, rich; to listen to stars and birds, babes and sages, with open heart; to study hard; to think quietly, act frankly, talk gently, await occasions, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common - this is my symphony. I don't know, but her face is captivating! This picture reminds me a little bit of Drew Barrymore when she was a child.

No doubt she was a perfectly normal little girl who caught some photographer's eye while sitting for a portrait, and went on to lead a normal and unglamorous life. I hope.

She looks a little stuck up with her nose in the air.

I think she looks like Beth. Are you SURE your ancestor somewhere back in time didn't live in France and pose for all those postcards? Happy PFF!
