Good Wishes for Thanksgiving Day -Postcard Friendship Friday #430

I love this artist's work.  These children are enchanting to my eyes--so sweet and funny.

I hope you are having a wonderful week!  As the poem says:

I hope this little card will convey
All that I wish for your Thanksgiving Day.
But somehow, or other it seems so small,
To think it could carry them all.

May God bless you with joy as you go into this Holiday Season.  Happy Postcard Friendship Friday!

Peace and Prosperity -Postcard Friendship Friday #380

This beautiful Thanksgiving postcard echoes my thoughts and hopes for our world.  That all people would experience peace and prosperity.  I would add to that joy and love--and the touch of God's hand.

There is SO much for which to be thankful!  Have a great weekend, dear Friends, and Happy Postcard Friendship Friday!

To Wish You Joy -Postcard Friendship Friday #125

Here in the Willamette Valley of Oregon, we have had such a beautiful Spring and now an early Summer.  Normally this time of year, it is like an underwater garden outside.  This year has been rather special.  Such incredibly beautiful weather.  The very air itself seems to rejoice.  These roses seem to embody that happiness.

Have a lovely day, everyone.  Happy Postcard Friendship Friday!

NOTE:  Postcard Friendship Friday was designed so folks who love postcards can share their favorites.  If your link does not contain a postcard, is not related to post offices, mail, etc., I will delete the link.  This has happened a couple of times now.  It always makes me feel sad to delete a link--especially if your blog is charming.  However, the fact remains--postcard Friendship Friday celebrates postcards!  Please respect this fact.  Thank you!

Peace and Prosperity -Guest Heart Thursday

Today is Thanksgiving.  Here in American we celebrate family and harvest.  It is a time when family and friends gather and share the blessings of our lives.

Many of you do not live in America--therefore on this day of Thanksgiving, it is important for me to tell each of you that I am thankful for you.  I ask our Creator to place upon you a blessing of peace, joy and prosperity.

Have a blessed weekend!

Many Good Wishes - Sunday Scan

This is one of Grandma Gladys' lovely cards.  When she moved away to Washington State, she left her boxes of cards with me.  How I have treasured them.  I saved them all--some I have used, others have become a part of my card collection.  This Get Well Card is one of those.

Today is the second Sunday for Al's wonderful new meme.   I think it is a lovely idea--since so many of us use the scanner every day.  Check out "Al's Photography Blog" and his fascinating meme Sunday Scans!

Good Wishes -Postcard Friendship Friday

This whimsical postcard is a part of my cyber postcard-collection. Many and much thanks to our friend Pearl for her generosity!

I am not sure about cherubs cooking Thanksgiving dinner in the first place--it seems they might trip on those darling chef's gowns and dump that heavy turkey--and what IS that big red thing atop the turkey? Perhaps a rose??? (grin) Your guess is as good as mine!

Happy Postcard Friendship Friday!

With All Good Wishes

This is a postcard from my "cyber" collection. I know--it's a bit early for Christmas, but these kittens are so cute! I know it is a Christmas postcard, but it is also nearing Halloween with all the strange lore of black cats.

I've collected figurines of black cats since I was a little girl. There is something so endearing about those expressive kitty eyes, glowing like amusing jewels, shining from a small black canvas.

Daddy Update: We were able to tear down the rotten addition to the back of my parent's home. All that is left is the floor--which is rather like a broad deck area. I was SO impressed with what my husband and our friend Gurn accomplished! How these amazing men were able to tear that monstrosity down by themselves, is quite beyond me--they're both heroes in my eyes!

My sister and I worked hard filling the dumpster (The guys helped with the really heavy stuff). We cleaned, bagged all kinds of stuff, sorted good wood from the bad, piled it accordingly. Sissy and I cleaned and swept, carried, lifted and piled stuff...It was a very LONG day.
.
The four of us accomplished more than we ever hoped for, or dreamed! Thank you for your good thoughts and prayers. It's miraculous to behold.
