Lovely Rose - Postcard Friendship Friday #66

As we wade through this wet and cold Spring, most spring flowers have been late in appearing.  Yesterday I noticed my roses are finally getting ready to bloom.

There is nothing so lovely as a rose--or the fragrance which wafts through the sun-warmed air.  I posted this Lovely Rose in celebration of Spring, flowers and hope.

 * Don't forget to visit Gemma at Greyscale Territory for Weekend Mailbox!

NOTE:  You don't have to stick to the theme I chose each Friday.  Just put up the postcards you love and tell us why you like them!  Have fun everyone!

What a lovely stamp mark. You americans sure have some style ;)

That stamp mark is called a Flag cancel, and I have no idea how many varieties of that machine cancel were available, only that they are collectible in their own right.

Once again, thanks to you Beth, for hosting Postcard Friendship Friday.

Oh yes. I'm following the theme, and a great card you've chosen I might add!

Such a pretty card! Love the names - Dillie and Cordie! Wonder what they are short for if anything. Happy PFF!!! Thanks, Beth.

One added note, Beth. I used Google Maps to determine if the address was still a valid address, and although it is a good one, it appears to be an empty lot at this point. Only thing left is a small piece of concrete sidewalk and a short retaining wall.

Absolutely gorgeous, I can smell the scent! Roses are my favourite flowers.

Beautiful! I have a mini rose bush that is still blooming...nothing prettier than a rose!
I have my PFF post finished, but I'm having trouble getting it to publish. Will link up as soon as I get it to work.

Beth, this card is STUNNING!!! Perhaps one day a few of my written words will be worthy of gracing this lovely image!

Happy Friday to you! Wishing you a most blissful weekend!

Decided to take the plunge and join in for your PFF. I'm always reading about it at friend's posts. Unfortunately for me to do a theme would require organization which would require time which would require...a brain transplant.

Lovely rose.

It then will fade,
So does the youth,
So does the fairest maid..."
Nice song. :)
