Flying in a Pumpkin!

I found this one online.  This artist is a favorite of mine and I adore the idea of flying across the sky in a pumpkin.

I hope I dream of doing that!

Have a lovely weekend, sweet Friends.

Cat on Pumpkin -Postcard Friendship Friday #426

I love the art of Frances Brundage.  She is an inspiration to me--I wish I could have met her, but she was born before my time.  This is such a darling card for Halloween.  Kittens and children are equally as mischievous.

I hope this month of fall leaves and harvest is one that is filled with happiness. Have a great weekend, and Happy Postcard Friendship Friday!

This is from my cyber collection from long ago.  I love this postcard.  It has movable parts!

Boo!  This postcard makes me smile and ponder simpler days gone by.  Have a lovely weekend.

Hallowe'en Greetings -Guest Heart Thursday

I love how this artist depicts children.  She's wonderful.  As are these kids.  You can find hearts here, of course--in the folds of those ribbons decorating dress and hair.  On the other hand, that pumpkin with his crown of leaves looks decidedly scary, don't you think?

Have a lovely day and Happy Guest Heart Thursday!

The Great Pumpkin -Postcard Friendship Friday #191

As a child, I loved Charles Schultz' cartoon Peanuts.   Of course, this postcard is not exactly the Great Pumpkin who broke the heart of poor Linus every year.  When I was a small child I loved Linus.  His love for the great Pumpkin made me smile.  That little boy had an unusual amount of hope and perseverance--and I admired him for it.

It was Linus who sadly said, "There are three things I have learned never to discuss with people:  religion, politics and the Great Pumpkin."

To tell you the truth, the child inside still waits for the Great Pumpkin to appear.  (grin)  Perhaps this year he will!

Have a great weekend!
