A Merry Hallowe'en!

I adore the artwork of Ellen Clapsaddle.  Her paintings of children remind me of my own when they were small.  She catches the essence of the mischief and beauty of childhood.

Here two little girls are playing a familiar Halloween game, peeling an apple, then throwing the long peel over one's shoulder to see what letter of the alphabet it resembles when it lands.  The theory is that letter is the first initial of the guy or gal one might marry someday.  Haha

Have a great week.  Fall is here--but winter is not far behind.  Blessings and hope to you dear ones.
