Angel and the Birdie - Guest Heart Thursday

Grammie recycled things before it was popular to do so.  She would save old Christmas cards to make into tags for Christmas presents.  She always used those scissors with the rick rack edge pattern.  This is one she gave to me on a gift long ago.  I still love it.

And yes, there is a heart in this beautiful Christmas picture.  You can find it in the top of one of the pink roses!

You are inspiring me to buy one of those scissors which we called pinking shears (I don't know why we called them that). They do make perfect borders for home made gift tags like your grandma made.

This is wonderful. I too recycle my cards, and then recycle the tags I made out of them. I'm sure your grannie was a great environmentally friendly lady. She sure knew who exactly would enjoy her treasures.

I see a heart - it's near this beautiful little angel's elbow - and it's two rose buds!!! I don't know if that's the heart you saw ... but it's sweet.

I loved those tags from Grammie. Do you remember when she would take old Christmas cards and cut them into pieces with her trusted pinking shears, then send them to us as "puzzle cards"? You had to put it together to get her message on the back. Sigh. I do miss Grammie, but the memories are SO precious.
