Happy Birthday Son

It seems just yesterday I held my son in my arms for the first time. I will never forget that day. Today he is twenty years old. How quickly the years flew by.

In my mind's eye I see your face and all the good times flash in my mind's eye. You are not a little boy any more.

Happy Birthday Son!

I am so proud of the man you are fast becoming. You are noble, kind and wise. You are persistent and strong. I thank the Lord for you, my Son.

Hope of Happiness

Happy Birthday, my darling little Niece. I remember the day you were born. How you have grown.

We had a wonderful day together. How grateful I am for your loving heart and winsome ways. Somehow you bring healing and happiness in your fingers.

I love you!

It's Awful When You're Sick...

This card is one of a wonderful collection given to me by my sweet Sis Clytie. The cards are large and come in their own pastboard box. I treasure her precious gift so much.
.
This morning, along with so many people I know who've had this terrible flu, my darling husband has come down with it hard. Poor fellow--I'm busy plying him with honey tea, meds and an occasional hot toddy. And yet he keeps on working--what shall I do with him? Tch tch tch!
.
It truly is an awful thing to be sick, especially when there is so much yet to be done. So--sweet hard-working husband of mine--GET WELL QUICK!

Happy Graduation, Son!

This card is from a collection my sister Clytie gave to me for my birthday! I love this artist's work. The children in these paintings have so much personality! This artist inspires me, as does the young man who is graduating today.

I'm posting this card to honor my son. Today he walks across the stage to accept his diploma. He has worked so hard to get to this point, and it has not been easy for him. I am VERY proud to be his Mom.

Seems just yesterday he was a chubby newborn, with such sparkling eyes and that ready grin. He still has the sparkle and the grin!

But that tiny boy I held in my arms now towers over me at six foot four! What a wonderful young man he is. What possibilities he holds in his hands, with his whole life stretched out in front of him.

OOOoops!

I just love this darling card, published around the turn of the century. It is a congratulatory card celebrating a baby's birth. I think this little person resembles one of those adorable cupie dolls of yesteryear.
