This wonderful old postcard is HUGE! It is printed on heavy stock and is 10 by six inches. At first I thought it was printed in the 1930's. However, I have since discovered this postcard was published in Bavaria around 1914. The artist's name is Ethel DeWees. Her initials are in the lower right-hand side..
I love the simplicity of the little girl's dress and hat. The look on her face speaks volumes, as she hands the boy a handful of yellow daisies.
.
The boy, however isn't quite sure what to do with those flowers, and seems a tad terrified! I enjoyed the boy's elegant clothing, complete with frills and captain's hat, along with that fancy, schmancy carpetbag suitcase.
