Easter Lambs in Daffodil Meadow

I have always loved this card.  It is from my Sister's collection.  There is something so sweet and ethereal about this pastoral scene.  I hope you are all having a wonderful Easter week.

Blessings and love to all.

Bunnies and a Purple Egg

There is something about this darling cut out card, that intrigues me.  I love the flowers and that purple egg.  The bunnies are dear and sweet.  This Easter card makes me smile.  I really would love to see an egg that big--perhaps it is a dinosaur egg?  One could dream of such a thing.

Have a great rest of the week!

Easter Greetings!

I love this little card.  Such a gentle little angel, playing her music amidst the Easter Lilies.  The blue of the forget me not flowers filtering down to the clouds, gives the idea of blue skies and hope.  Easter is all about hope.

Blessings to you all, dear Friends.

Legend of the Violet

The first glad Easter morn
When earth united to rejoice,
The Lord walked into a garden
And each flower raised its voice
*
As they sang their hymns of joy
With happy, sweet accord,
A little violet tried in vain
To see the risen Lord.
*
And as He came, the violet sighed,
"If only I could be
As tall and bright as other flowers,
Then He might notice me."
*
But when He reached the violet,
The Saviour paused awhile,
The violet blushed and bowed its head
Beneath the Master's smile.
*
You see, it really didn't matter,
Not being grand and tall,
For the Lord loves all living things,
However great or small!
*
And to this day, all violets
Bow their faces toward the sod,
Remembering that meeting
With the blessed Son of God!
*
I loved this legend when I read it in this lovely old card from my precious Gramma Gladys. The poem was inside.

An Easter Wish

How lovely to send an Easter Blessing to my dear friends. "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." (Romans 15:13) God bless you all.

A Happy Easter

Most Easter cards are elegant flowery pastel affairs which delight the eye. Here you see an Easter card with a different air. I am not sure what these boldly colored and cheerful critters are singing, but it must be something fun.

I believe this card was printed sometime in the early 1940's.
