Thanksgiving Greetings -Postcard Friendship Friday #478

Yes, can you believe it?  Halloween is past and here in America, Thanksgiving is on the horizon--then Christmas.  Time passes so quickly sometimes.  I remember as a kid, summer lasted for three years!  Not so now that I'm older.

This postcard is such a charming reminder of family and Thanksgiving.  Though it is my experience that wild turkeys are not very friendly!  These must be domesticated.

Have a lovely weekend, Friends!  Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Postcard Friendship Friday!

Apples in the Apple Tree -Postcard Friendship Friday #432

This is such a beautiful postcard.  I adore the whole idea of gathering apples into one's apron!  When I was a child I did just that and felt the romance of the moment.  This takes me back to those childhood memories of harvesting the winter apples, which were then stored for the colder months.

That amiable turkey looks like he wants one of those apples, don't you think?  What a friendly fellow he is!  Most turkeys are NOT that nice.

I hope you are having a wonderful week!  May God bless you with joy.  Happy Postcard Friendship Friday!

Thanksgiving Rose -Postcard Friendship Friday #246

God bless you dear ones.  Count your blessings, sweet Friends.  Even when hard times happen--there are still blessings to be found.

Thank you so much for your sweet comments last week.  Thank you for your prayers, my family and I have felt them.  Thank you.

I have not been able to communicate as normal, but when I am able, I'll be writing back to thank you for your kindness, and clicking in to see your wonderful postcards.

Blessings to you, my Friends.

She Walks with Turkeys

I don't know why, but this wonderful postcard, part of my cyber collection, tickles my funny bone! (grin) These turkeys seem like a couple of lapdogs, with Lady Liberty's right hand resting on the grizzled head of one old turkey, as she gently herds the other proudly strutting bird with the other.

I bet they don't know she's gonna eat 'em!

Happy Thanksgiving!
