Be Still My Heart - Postcard Friendship Friday #46

I've never seen a sad Valentine's Day postcard before, but this one is exactly that--though there is a glimmer of hope held within that poem.  I have to admit to experiencing a broken heart several times in my youth--this is exactly how a person would feel.  The truth is, the sun does still shine above stormy clouds--and though I remember the feelings of heartache I once knew, I do not feel the awful pain today.  For that I am grateful!

Beautiful, victorian looking card ... sad, but beautiful.

That slumped pose beautifully captures the desolation of youthful heartache. Pretty card, love the verse.

Poor soul, how heart breaking! The message is so matter of fact in contrast.

Howdy Beth
Happy PFF to you :)
While the card is sad it is beautiful and oh so true .
I am so thankful to be beyond a broken heart.
Living in a military community it seems we are often surrounded by broken hearts.
Thank you sweet Beth for hosting another fabulous Post Friendship Friday .

Hugs from Texas
Until next time
Happy Trails

Thanks for hosting, as usual Beth. I'm setting up for an Antique show this weekend, so I don't have the time to post. I will follow along however, as time permits. Happy PFF!

Our cards looks as if they could have been by the same artist! Yours is so sweet even though sad -and I am sure the little lady did survive one of the most difficult things a person can go through. Nothing as intense as young love nor as devastating as breaking up. Happy PFF!

Happy Friday, Beth.
Indeed, surely cards such as these are a rarity. However, I spent many a Valentine's past in such a state ... I too am most grateful those days are history! :))

I've learned something about the written language that I didn't learn until today! This is a great post.
