I just love this postcard.  Though as a Mom I'm saying to myself, "Where is that child's coat?!"  With all the snow and what looks like ice, it seems pretty cold.  lol  But what fun they're having--Christmas is near and they've loaded their sleigh with holly.  I imagine it will be used to decorate their home.

I have a special place in my heart for the Netherlands.  I love their traditions and stories and some of my ancestors came from there.

Dolly Wood and Dolly Dutch

I found this one online... Isn't it a beauty?  I'm SO curious as to the dolls--they look handmade, or maybe they were a toy which was available long ago?

I tried to find them online, but Dolly Parton's Dollywood was all I could find.  If you know anything about this wonderful postcard and the dolls depicted here, please let me know!

I love this artist's work.  These paintings have such a beautiful smooth quality about them.

It's getting close to Halloween...and though these wonderful traditional outfits are not costumes, I thought it to be sweetly fitting to post this vintage postcard.   I've always loved The Netherlands and the wonderful stories and traditions of that country.
