Kind Hearts Unite -Postcard Friendship Friday #335

I apologize for getting this up so late in the season.  It has been a tremendously difficult time for me and my family.  I didn't realize the second year of grief would be so difficult during the holidays this time around.  It is a long journey I am on--a journey to joy.

...Weeping may last for the night,
But joy comes in the morning...
You have turned for me my mourning into dancing;
You have loosed my sackcloth
And clothed me with gladness,
That my heart may sing your praise and not be silent.
O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever!
~Psalm 30

God bless you and I pray your Christmas is a blessed one.

When I remember Christmas with my brothers and sisters--my heart is made glad.  Those long ago days--how I wish I could go back there sometimes.

Merry Christmas and Happy Postcard Friendship Friday

Learning to Walk -Postcard Friendship Friday #314

I remember when my youngest brother was learning to walk.  I was ten years old and he was the light of my life.  We were all at Grandma's house.  There's even a picture from that long ago day.  He took his first steps--arms outstretched, toddling toward me, to land in my arms.

Funny how life goes.  Such precious memories and life is so different now.  Sometimes I wish I could go back to those beautiful innocent days of childhood.

Have a lovely day, dear Friends, and happy Postcard Friendship Friday!

Celebrating Siblings -Postcard Friendship Friday #264

Here in America, it is National Sibling Day.  I am glad for a time to celebrate my brothers and sisters.  I am the eldest of six. I've always felt I have been blessed to be a part of a big family.  There are so many wonderful memories of the things we did, the laughter, tears and love we all shared.

I was a teenager when my youngest sister was born.  This postcard reminds me of our relationship so many years ago.

Thank you for dropping by, and Happy Postcard Friendship Friday!
