This is another of Grandma Jenny's cards. This lovely card was from Grammie's best friend Ruth. They had a wonderful loving relationship which I'm sure transcends time itself! I love the little kittens. They so delightfully Roley poly! Another odd thing--I have an ink bottle which looks exactly like the one in the card.

How special, I have a friend like that, and she send me cards too. Funny, I hardly ever send her one. I better fix that.

What a nice little card. I wish I had kept all the cards I ever received, but if I had, I don't know where I would have stored them all.
Ink bottle! I remember watching my grandfather fill his fountain pens. It was a slow and careful process. He took good care maybe because he and my grandmother both had beautiful penmanship - and used it every day to write letters and keep their journals. When I went to elementary school there were inkwells in our desks...but by then,I believe pens had ink cartridges. Amazing how your sweet cards can trigger the oddest memories! Thank you.
