The Emporer's New Clothes
I love this sillhouette illustration from The Emporer's New Clothes which leaves everything to the imagination! It is another picture from one of the books in my fairytale book collection!
When I was a child, I thought this was one of the funniest stories I'd ever heard. As you can imagine--I was routing for the kid who told the truth in the end of the story--I mean, from my perspective and age, I was convinced that Grown ups were often times just TOO silly . . .
And now that I'm all grown up? Well, I still think they are!

This is a great illustration, and my boys loved this one too.
Well like they say, out of the mouths of babes. Usually if kids aren't prompted, they do tell the truth. Young ones, but as they get older and fear of getting into trouble, they start telling little white lies then before we know it, some tell whoppers. Hope you've had a lovely week-end and all is going well with your parents.
Well I try to be silly as often as I can!
I always thought this story was a hoot - probably because it made grown-ups look silly, and children look wise. Which very often is the case!
