A Valentine for Mother

This lovely old Valentine's Day Card must have been very precious to Grammie Jenny. She kept this card from her son, Lawrence, in a special place with other cards and notes she treasured.

How grateful I am for our lovely Grandmother. I'm so glad she saved these wonderful old cards. I miss the days we shared when I had the privilege of living in her basement as a young woman. I learned so much from her.

You are very fortunate that your Grandmother did save the cards. Sometimes if lucky when at an auction you can find an old shoe box with cards that someone has saved, but not too often, because a lot of people pitch them. Have a great week.

I don't know if I've ever seen a valentine with sweet peas, but it's so fitting...and beautiful.

I miss Grammie too. She was a wonderful woman. I'm glad, as well, that she kept so many cards and letters. What a precious gift to her family.
