I just love this postcard. Though as a Mom I'm saying to myself, "Where is that child's coat?!" With all the snow and what looks like ice, it seems pretty cold. lol But what fun they're having--Christmas is near and they've loaded their sleigh with holly. I imagine it will be used to decorate their home.
I have a special place in my heart for the Netherlands. I love their traditions and stories and some of my ancestors came from there.
Have a joyous weekend, dear ones! Happy Postcard Friendship Friday, and Merry Christmas!

Hi Beth,
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful, sweet Christmas card! Didn't know you had some Dutch ancestors. We have family living on the Westcoast of the US who also love the old Dutch traditions and for instance still use the old Dutch name Krina as a girl's name. One of the Krina's even has a complete costume from Volendam!
Here in the Netherlands, we have not got snow yet, so no sleigh rides till now. And when there is ice: many people get crazy and to start to skate on natural ice the whole day. It is like a fever, people can't get enough of it.But I guess we will have to wait to february for that.
My condolences for the losses in your family, Beth. I hope you sister recovers soon. My good news that EFSP had a record in views last month, but I can already that this month we have a new record. I am quite amazed but also pleased with it.
Dear Beth, keep up the good work with Postcard Friendship Friday, and Merry Christmas!
Bob a.k.a. Paul
