With the severe storms thrashing New England and the East Coast of America, this postcard touched a chord in my heart.
Young Myrtle writes to her Uncle Charley, "We have had several blizzards like this one or worse. The register was 52 below zero for one week. On the first and second - February it was 42 below zero. On the 6 of February we had a Chinook."
Our hearts and prayers are with all of you caught in the snowstorm. I've heard this one is a record breaker for you folks.
Lovely postcard Beth, my prayers are with all those who are stuck with this storm too. Particularly the homeless. Keep warm.
ReplyDeleteIt is an unbelievable amount of snow ... we had it easy in comparison. And today is so warm, much of it will likely melt.
ReplyDeletei thought this was an odd, generic looking card titled "Indiana in a snow storm", but then I looked up 'troilene' and found the artist John Innes. This is a new series for me.
Good post for today! John Innes was a famous Canadian artist.
