I love this picture--it is one which inspires me. This artist is just amazing--oh to be able to draw like THIS!
Yesterday morning I read about Angels in the Psalms, found in the Old Testament of the Bible. "Praise the Lord, you His angels, you mighty ones who do His bidding, who obey His word. Praise the Lord, all His heavenly hosts, you His servants who do His will. Praise the Lord, all His works everywhere in His dominion. Praise the Lord, Oh my soul." Psalm 103:20-22
I like the idea of God's angels here on earth doing His will--watching over our children and people who love Him. I have seen the invisible hands of angels more than once in our travels. I am so glad God sends them to protect us!

Where is your art blog, couldn't find it ?
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful picture. I love angels and just visited your angel blog as well. They are both very nice! I also love vintage post cards and have posts about angels and vintage Halloween postcards currently on my blog, if you would like to stop by.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, Beth! I love it too!
ReplyDeleteKeep well,

Such a beautiful card, sissie. What an amazing artist!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful image but I find it difficult to meld this image with that of angels in the scriptures, who always show up and the first words out of their mouth is, "Fear not." This makes me imagine they have a somewhat terrifying visage or awe inspiring physique. Though not postcards you can find some wonderful images of Biblical angels here:http://www.mts.net/~warreno/.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how your little cherubs would protect me? Maybe by their distractive power of beauty and innocence.
What a lovely inspiring post. thanks for reminding me. I always worry my boys are without, silly. I know better.
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet. Happy Pink Saturday.
