I love this time of year, with its cooler temperatures, nostalgic feel and harvest celebrations. But who knew this is the time when scarecrows dance? I like the whimsical feel of this wonderful old postcard!

Cute card! These vintage holiday cards are so creative and colorful!
ReplyDeleteI do like scarecrows, great card.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute couple and I love the expression on the moon's face!
ReplyDeletePumpkin...pump kin? What's the origin of this word? Nice symbolic card.
ReplyDeleteHalloween already! How time flies :) Pretty card but I'm not sure of the expression on her face. She looks a little doubtful.
ReplyDeleteVery colorful card! It's very much in the spirit of the spirit holiday. In answer to Dorincard's comment - pumpkin somehow evolved from the Greek pepon - the word for melon.
ReplyDeleteWhenever I see pumpkins I have a Homer Simpson moment...Pumpkin...mmm...GOOD! Great card...does this officially launch the countdown to Halloween? Happy PFF!
ReplyDeleteSometimes some of the villages here have a scarecrow festival (people make and put them in the front of the house), so now I know when the moon comes out they come alive to dance and party. Like the black cat touch on the card.
ReplyDeleteOh Beth, this card so reminds of this last weekend we spent visiting my parents. Over at Remlinger Farms, they have a small field filled with GIANT scarecrows in dancing in a field, perhaps ten or so. There are corn husks in bunches and bales of straw set about. Fall is definitely in the air!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a blissful autumn weekend!
Beautiful card. I like the detail of the black cat. Happy Halloween and PFF.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great Halloween card
ReplyDeleteI love autumn, too! This is a sweet card.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute postcard. I love the moon looking down and smiling. :-)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite post of the day! I am completely in love with those cute scarecrows!! Love, love, love vintage holiday cards!! Thanks for sharing!

Love the postcard. We do our bit with the kids here but Halloween still does not generate quite the buzz in the UK that it does in the US. I've certainly never seen any vintage UK Halloween postcards.
ReplyDeleteAwww, what a cute autumn pumpkin clipart. I, too, love fall festivities from activities for grandparents and their grandchildren to home decorations to autumn flowers to the autumn leaves falling down. It's such a delight and my absolute favorite season! Thank you for a delightful treat for Pink Saturday :)
ReplyDeleteOh I love this postcard-make me think of my farmer husband and me!
ReplyDeleteThat's such a cute card. i love the way she has her finger by her mouth looking coy. Happy Pink Saturday.
ReplyDeleteThat's sweet!
ReplyDeleteHappy PS!
