A Wish Has Been Planted . . .

I thought it was time to share another Valentine card from my collection.  This sweet card was printed in the USA most likely just after World War 2.  The paper is very thin and fragile.  I adore the bright colors and intricate design of this unusual card.  The little boy in those short pants is so cute!

Inside is this pen and ink of a small girl gathering roses.  It is like something I would draw, and the poem is delightful!

  2. This card reminds me of a vintage hankie ... the ones my grandma used to tuck in her apron or under her sleeves ... so charming!

    Have a wonderful day, Beth!

  10. What a great card: love the scalloped edges and the colorful border around the little boy on the cover. A thoughtful and subtle sentiment inside with that lovely pen and ink of the girl...a cut above the usual, I'd say.
