Springtime Blossoms - Pink Saturday

Here is another of our darling Grammie Jenny's cards. She loved Springtime with it's bevy of flowers. When we were small, my siblings and I liked to walk the well-worn path, across the field to Grandma's house. We would play for hours in her spacious yard. She sometimes let us help plant flowers and she told us stories about them.

I love this card. There are clouds of pink blossoms adorning the trees along the streets in my town. Spring is here! And alas, so is the rain. They seem to walk hand in hand, those two! Have a perfectly marvelous Pink Saturday

  4. Thanks for the blossoms! My 90 year old mom is enjoying the cherry blossoms in Washington DC. Not everyone knows that here in Seattle at the University of Washington we have our own cherry blossom lane with scores in bloom - what a beautiful time of the year. I know you have probably shared this before, but I am wondering how you maintain your collection...my few treasured pieces are in shoeboxes and a bit of a jumble. Just wondering if you might write a line or two about this?

  5. Happy Pink Saturday Beth...
I am your newest follower. What a beautiful burst of pink on this card. I just love it. The old cards were so beautiful, and today there is no realism to it. This one looks painted and beautiful, so soft.

I love your story of going through the field on the worn path to reach your precious Grandma's house. What a lovely memory to cherish.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful day with me. Please stop by and say hi. I would be so honored if you signed up to follow me as well. Country hugs sweetie...Sherry

  18. Welcome to your first Pink Saturday, Beth. I apologize that it has taken me so long to visit, but last week was crazy busy. I am so glad you decided to join us.

I love your Grammie's card. It is so pretty, and you were so lucky to live near by. We didn't live in the same state as my grandparents.

It is spring here, too, but we are in desperate need to rain. Maybe you can send a little our way.
