In my collection, are these goofy animal postcards I picked up when I was in my 20's. This one hits my funny bone, because I believe it looks as I must have, as we pulled into the driveway around three this morning! I am NOT a night person! We hallooed in the new year over at our friend's shop, after which we watched a western called Bite the Bullet. Great movie! Just went a little late...hence my befrazzlement. (grin)
This is a baby black crowned night heron. Isn't this baby just ghoulish looking?!
Happy New Year!
I am so scared of you!!! Remind me to stay off the roads at 3 AM when you are oot and aboot!
ReplyDeleteSnicker. Absolutely wonderful postcard.
And I thought maybe it was your baby picture from when you were three, because it's very similar to how I looked at three (years, not a.m.)
ReplyDeleteAt three a.m. this morning I looked like a sleeping angel...at least no one can prove I didn't.
That's funny when I saw the picture before I read your words I thought "My that looks like me when I woke up this morning" LOL
ReplyDeleteWe are going to have to be careful Sissy or we are going to turn into each other.
Great postcard!!!
I AM LAUGHING..... too funny. PFF
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
As my Mother-in-law once said about a little dog we had that wasn't really that cute, but we liked him, that's a face only a Mother could love. Personally I think this little fella is cute. Glad you had a nice time out late last night. LOL I fell asleep about three mins before 12, and the daughters all yelled Happy New Year, that woke me up. It's been a busy week, son and his new girlfriend flew in from Fl on Sat. after Christmas, so his four sisters tried to be here as much as possible with their families. Then on Wed. we all loaded up, took food and went to visit my Mother to celebrate her birthday. Yesterday I had to grocery shop for the upcoming week, and today doing laundry, tomorrow I think I will CRASH. LOL Happy New Year to your entire family.
ReplyDeleteFor the first time I'm seeing how birds and dinosaurs are connected
ReplyDeleteyou are soooooooooooooooooo funny, grateful for the chuckle - glad you had a good NewYearsEve.
ReplyDeleteI bet tomorrow you will be back looking like the pretty BlueBird again.
This little fellow is so ugly that he's cute!
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog! I love finding kindred spirits who are into ephemera as much as I am. I'll have to read some of your back posts:) Have a blessed New Year full of great postcard finds!
ReplyDeleteYikes! What an expression! That "ugly duckling" reminds me of the swan since both turn into such lovely looking birds later in their lives!
ReplyDeleteHope you're all rested and ready to dive into the new year! Have a happy Monday!
Poor little soul. He looks scared as well as scary. :)
ReplyDeleteA Cute Chick!
