This unusual Christmas card is from my darling Gramma Glady's collection. When Gramma moved from our area to Washington State, she left all her wonderful cards behind with me. And now, years later, I get to share her stash with you!
These fun little snow people remind me of Caspar the Friendly Ghost! I like their faces and the added interest of sparkling glitter on the front.
I also adore this card because of the happy words within. I love my own dear Honey. His style and smile do indeed brighten most days. I think back over the years--I am not only lucky, I'm blessed.
Merry Christmas everyone!
Love the glitter too. What a very precious card.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking Caspar the Friendly Ghost meets the Pillsbury Dough Boy?
Love these old cards they are so charming...I hope the week before Christmas is a joyful one for you and your family Sissy Bea. Take care of you. Love ya
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's the Michelin Man and his wife...before he put on weight? (tee hee) sorry I just can't help it.
I absolutely love these! And how often do you see Christmas cards that are specifically for a spouse.
ReplyDeleteHope you and your family have very happy holidays.
What a clever little card. I was going through some of my cards the other day from 2006 and found a get well card that looked old fashion. A cat delivering a pot of flowers. It's from a place called Antiquarian Scrapbook, Greetings from the Lovelace Family archives. I may not be getting around much for the next week. Have lots to do, thank goodness I can post ahead on blogspot. So in case I miss getting around to your blog, want to wish you, and your family a very Merry Chrstimas.
ReplyDeleteVery cute and how nice to have these from your Grandmother. Just stumbled across your blog. I am in Portland and also blog on ephemera and old papers. http://thecedarchestblog.blogspot.com/
