Christmas Greetings!? -Postcard Friendship Friday #249

Good morning, I'm so sorry to be late putting up Postcard Friendship Friday.  It has been pretty hectic this morning--with everything which I must do before the end of the year.  (sigh)  Thank you for your prayers, friends.

This postcard hit my funny bone. The only one who looks normal is the little girl. The pop up guy is kind of scary looking and that doll's eyes seem rather demented. It looks like those kittens are not too sure about the whole business. Especially the kitten peeking around from the side.  Isn't that just a hoot?

May God bless you, and Merry Christmas!

LINKING UP:  You can put your link in any time between now and next Thursday.  Postcard Friendship Friday is open for the entire week!

 * BADGE:  When you submit a postcard, be sure to put a link back to this page.  You can copy and paste the PFF badge, which has the link embedded.  Thank you!

  *  THEMES: You don't have to stick to the theme I choose each Friday. Just put up the pieces you love and tell us why you like them.

 *  REMINDER: Comments and links which contain advertising will be deleted. Also, any and all suspicious links which do not lead to a correct website will be reported and deleted.

  1. Ohmygosh! Beth, you hit my funnybone too with this post! That cat does look a bit astonished at something...maybe Santa is coming 'round the corner? Thanks for your sweet comments, dear friend! Have a fabulous day! Hugs, Coralie

  2. You're all linked up ladybug:) Those kittens not feeling very joly! They're probably mad about having to wear those ribbons around their necks:) I can't keep a collar on either of my cats. They wriggle out of them everytime!

  5. Too funny! Isn't it that way when you REALLY look at things closely? Sometimes, all is not what it seems...

  6. LOL from what I can remember, dolls of old did look a little demenated. LOL And I think the scary jack-in-the-box scared the kittens. LOL

  9. I think Santa may have been startling to the kittens, but HEY! It's SANTA CLAUS! How could a young girl not like him? The doll? I think you pegged it right. Demented. ;o)

I love these old litho cards. The artists did their magic with this one.

  13. That card has three things I like on Christmas postcards: cats, little girls, and toys.

  16. You're right, the little girl is the only one not creeped out by the pop-up guy.

  17. Beautiful card, especially enlarged to see the details of the Christmas tree and the expressions of the doll and the cat in the girl's arms!

  21. Wonderful! I was scared of the doll more than the jack-in-the-box though. And those cats are hysterical!
