Here is another postcard of the sweet little girl who has so caught my imagination. It was graciously sent to me by Jann. I believe this is one of the earlier photos taken of this beautiful little girl--she looks a lot younger in this postcard than in others.
Happy Friendship Friday!
She is lovely, isn't she?!! I love the hand tinted look to the vintage cards.
ReplyDeleteShe does look a lot younger! I love those pink flowers.
ReplyDeleteLittle Charity is such a darling rosy posy!
ReplyDeleteShe looks younger, and less poised somehow. I find it amazing just how many she did!.
ReplyDeletelove the delicate pink roses she's holding!
ReplyDeleteshe's such an angel :) Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI am amazed that you keep finding more cards of the same girl.
ReplyDeleteI am always keeping a eye out for more pictures of her, the little mystery girl. I went on Google search the other day and there was someone else trying to find out info about her also. Anyway, sending love 2 u and glad you got your award...

ReplyDeleteI did find out that her father was a photographer. I am researching the photo stamp in the corner which appears in many of the photos. I will keep you posted!

The photo is beautiful. She looks a lot like Ruth Abbott Wells, who was a very sucessful model and entertainer in the early 1900's.
Do you know this girl's name?

Beth,
I saw on Flicker the same girl image was posted there and these comments were left, just thinking you MIGHT like seeing them also?
There's something about a Tuck card. I'm not sure why, but it seems they can be spotted a mile off. I'm not a collector, but do look at a lot of images on postcards, trade cards and other ephemera. I never have a problem picking out a Tuck.
ReplyDeleteShe was certainly photogenic wasn't she? I love the pink tinting too.
ReplyDeleteI ♥ the big, lush pink roses she's holding...
