I started to make pumpkin soup and n...Hello Beth, <br /><br />I started to make pumpkin soup and now really like to do that. A wonderful vegetable, the pumpkin. I wondered if the tradition of Halloween and the cut-out pumpkins are connected, because the pumpkins are ripe. Just like Easter and eggs are possibly connected while the chicken lay more eggs around that time.
